Owner Of Nine Marijuana Stores In Orange And Los Angeles Counties Sentenced To 262 Months For Drug Trafficking And Tax Evasion
John Walker was sentenced to 262 months in Federal Prison for providing safe access to cannabis to California patients and caregivers. John owned and operated nine legal medical marijuana collectives.
John Melvin Walker -“Pops” a 56 year old resident of San Clemente was sentenced by United States District Judge James V. Selna.
California Prop.215 and SB 420 allow for medical marijuana collectives to operative legally. The true story is that John was target by these law enforcement agencies-a real waste of American’s tax monies. — This investigation was conducted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department; the Drug Enforcement Administration; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; IRS-Criminal Investigation; the California Board of Equalization; and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
Mr. Walker pleaded guilty to two felony counts – one count of conspiring to distribute and maintaining collectives- and one count of tax evasion.
Walker and 14 other defendants indictment was returned by a federal grand jury last fall. The indictment outlined a drug-trafficking conspiracy led by Walker, who owned and operated nine marijuana collectives in cities across Los Angeles and Orange counties. The nine medical marijuana collectives were located in Long Beach, Dana Point, Garden Grove, Santa Ana, Santa Fe Springs, Costa Mesa, Whittier, and San Juan Capistrano.
To own and operate a medical marijuana collective is not illegal in the state of California. The Cannabis industry is being targeted. We are being raided and thrown in prison. This is an injustice that needs to stop. Because NO-ONE BELONGS IN JAIL FOR A PLANT.
