MISSION STATEMENT

POW420’s mission is to Empower, Educate, and Disseminate Information about people incarcerated as a result of Cannabis Laws and to End Prohibition successfully by striking all sentences that relate to Cannabis.

ABOUT POW420

POW420 is a general partnership dedicated to ending cannabis prohibition by focusing on Prisoners and their families, the true victims of war on cannabis, by exposing the tyranny of unjust laws that is cannabis prohibition.

POW420.com Is a web site that provides weekly updated information about our brothers and sisters in PRISON.

POW420 information is listed by individual POW420 name and cross referenced by state.  Each POW420 has a biography and letters written section.  POW420 publishes prisoners needs on their profile page.

Publication: POW420 produces a quarterly newsletter distributed by mail to POW420’s providing our brothers and sisters in jail with information and love.  There is also a similar copy that is emailed to subscribers, the only difference in content is that the POW420’s view a list of volunteers to be pen pals.

Production: POW420 has done “In Prison Interviews” with prisoners inside Correctional Institutions. The interviews are disseminated via the internet.

Education: POW420 consults privately on cases with particular needs.  Information is disseminated publicly through speaking to groups and appearances on Television and Radio, along with hosting a blog cast.  Interviews of prisoners, activists, experts and other warriors on both sides are disseminated by POW420 and adding to a growing library on the website of articles, videos and audio podcasts.

Information: POW420 does podcast called Pot Talk Radio. We focus every episode on one pot prisoner allowing for us to share their stories.

DonationsThose who contribute to an organization are the lifeblood of any organization, so we have created levels that give contributors ever greater ways of signaling their involvement to others and giving feedback and input on the direction of the organization

    Received the POW420 card from Dennis Boisvert postmarked 12/26/2015, first class Non Domestic mail. Since I do not have
    Dennis’ e-mail address, I will send him a copy of this e-mail. Also recieved the card from Adela and LL MJ Toronto. So, I see that this is an international effort. Thank you all!!! It appears to me that POW420 is a net-work of like minded people that believe “No one belongs in jail for a plant,” or “Free the plant – Free the people”. I am in total agreement with that goal.

    As a servant of Yahvahshua the Mashi’ach, I know that the truth will set us free. Yahvah’s Word at Genesis 1:11-12 teaches us:
    11. Then Elohim [Mighty One of Oaths] said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth”; and it was so.
    12. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And Elohim saw that it was good.

    Yahvah’s Word continues at Genesis 1:29-30, to teach us:
    29. And Elohim said, "See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food.
    30. “Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air and to everything that creeps upon the earth, in which there is life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so.

    Yahvah’s Word continues at Genesis 2:4-5, to teach us:
    4. This is the history of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that Yahvah Elohim made the earth and the heavens,
    5. before any plant of the field was in the earth had grown. For Yahvah Elohim had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was nay man to till the ground.

    Yahvah’s Word at Psalm 104:14-15, teaches us:
    14. He [Yahvah] causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and vegetation for the service of man, that he may bring forth food from the earth,
    15. and wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face shine, and bread which strengthens man’s heart.

    In Yahvah’s Word times, people who comprised a living part of the inspired Scriptures used herbs for healing when they became ill. Almighty Yahvah has taught us that the leaves of the tree (or herbs) will serve as our medicine. Yehezke’l which means “El [Mighty One] strengthens” or “strengthened by El,” aka Ezekiel, at chapter 47, verse 12, teaches us, “Along the bank of the river, upon this side and that, will grow all kinds of trees used for food; their leaves will not wither, and their fruit will not fall. They will bear fruit every month, because their water flows from the tabernacle. Their fruit will be for food, and their leaves for medicine.”

    Hebrews 6:7 teaches us: “For the earth which drinks in the rain that often comes upon it, and bears herbs useful for those by whom it is cultivated, receives blessing from Yahvah”.

    Revelation 22:1-4 teaches us:
    1. And he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of Yahvah and the Lamb.
    2. In the middle of its street, and upon either side of the river was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
    3. And there shall be nay more curse, but the throne of Yahvah and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.
    4. They shall see His face, and His Name shall be upon their foreheads.

    The Cannabis plant is a tree and herb that The Spirit Being Yahvah created for all mankind, animals, birds, and creeping things, upon the earth, to use.

    The Cannabis plant is not a thing that government can patent, tax, or outlaw, without the exclusive legislative jurisdiction, of the United States, which is the District of Columbia, in Puerto Rico, in a territory, or in an insular possession.

    The Constitution of the United States of America, Ninth Amendment (1791), guarantees that, “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny, or disparage others retained by the people.”

    The Constitution, Tenth Amendment (1791), guarantees that, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”

    At the time that the Constitution went into effect, in the united states of America, We the People retained the
    UN-A-LIEN-ABLE right, to possess the Cannabis plant, use the Cannabis plant, and sell the Cannabis plant, including but not limited, to paying State and federal taxes with the Cannabis plant.

    The Constitution has not changed in that regard!!!

    The Congress has not changed the law in that regard. What has changed is politicians have unlawfully and unconstitutionally used government agencies, with the help of corrupt politically appointed judges, to steal the unalienable right of We the People, for the purpose of legal plunder, and to deny and deprive We the People of our un-a-lien-able right, to Life, Liberty, and property, without due process of law and without just compensation, to make us slaves, of the state and United States, in violation of the Constitution, Fifth Amendment (1791) and Thirteenth Amendment (1865).

    The nature of politics is to obtain power and hold power. The politician’s war upon the Cannabis plant and We the People, has been the prime mover, of all the outrageous abuses of power, that We the People have experienced since 1913, when the Cannabis plant was first outlawed.

    What can POW420 do, to take back We the Peoples’ unalienable right, to the Cannabis plant?

    One thing the National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) has tried, to do, is get MARIHUANA removed from a schedule I drug. An agency policy change should be retroactive. To do that United States v. Cresswell, 515 F. Supp. 1268 (1981) holds that, within the meaning of 5 U.S.C. Section 702, a person adversely affected or aggrieved by agency action, has standing to seek review of the actions of the Administrator of the DEA.

    I am an aggrieved person, a flesh-and-blood man. NORML has the experience, to petition, to have Marihuana removed from a schedule I drug. This is one step, for We the People that can be taken by POW420 to free the Cannabis plant and free the people.

    01/07/2016, the Case Manager informed me that I was denied clemency. Why? 74-years of age. Wheelchair bound since 09/01/1998, due to deliberate indifference to my medical needs. Non-violent. Actually factually innocent. 27-years, 7-months and 20-days in prison, for the Cannabis plant war crime upon We the People!!!

    I haven’t used cannabis in close to 20 years but, my ex-husband was an alcoholic and I’ve NEVER heard of ANYONE smoking cannabis and beating his spouse, screaming and yelling to the point where the police had to be called. Alcohol is a much more dangerous drug and you can walk into any gas station (where you are filling your car that you cannot drive intoxicated) and buy as much beer as you can carry right next to gatoraid, juice, milk,etc for your children! Cannabis has been proven to help certain diseases and it is a plant that grows wild anywhere there is dirt & water! It boggles my mind that our country promotes the consumption of alcohol (NFL football comes to mind) during games in which we watch with our children! Unbelievable that people are being sentenced years in prison along side of rapists, murderers, and violent offenders! Our country sure has its priorities so screwed up! When I smoked cannabis I would get mellow, didn’t even want to drive anywhere, get the munchies, eat too much, get sleepy and go to bed. When I drank alcohol I would be funny, fall down a lot, couldn’t drive, get mad then usually got sick, go to bed and wake up with a headache, hungover, calling in sick to work…not once did I ever have a hangover from cannabis. Legalize it already! Alcohol vs Cannabis, Cannabis wins (HANDS DOWN) every time!

    I’m going on for sentencing on Dec 30th in anoka county courthouse in MN. Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated. My lawyer advised me that I’m looking at 81+ months for losing at trial. Thank you for reading!

    There are people in this fucked up world sexually assaulting children and killing people and not getting like sentences. However people getting sentenced to life for a damn plant. How is that justice?

    James Kasanos ~ Sadly, President Nixon declared the War on Drugs ~ and all wars have prisoners. Our pot prisoners are prisoners in the Drug War unjust incarcerated for a plant. Thus, POW420 ~ Prisoners of Weed, Prisoners of War ~ 420.

    Wrong James. Many of those locked up for POT have never harmed a soul. They were just victms in the war against drugs, which is doing even less good than the war against alcohol years ago.

    Unless I get drunk and cause a public nuisance, I am at liberty to have a couple of alcoholic drinks, so why should the same right not be extended to those who wish to use other forms of drug.

    Absolutely! It was a “black PR” stunt done by 7 Criminal industry leaders who wanted to eliminate the unowned Hemp industry that was their major competition. Marijuana has never harmed anyone and it’s a powerful, much needed Medicine which cures cancer & depression among a wide assortment of other ailments. Legalize, don’t criminalize.
