Celebrating the Constitution
To commemorate the September 17, 1787 signing of the Constitution of the United States, Congress had designated September 17th of each year as CONSTITUTION DAY and September 17-23 of each year as CONSTITUTION WEEK.
In 2004, Public Law 108-447, Session 111 was passed requiring the following:
"Each educational institution that receives Federal funds for a fiscal year shall hold an educational program on the United States Constitution on September 17 of such year for the students served by the educational institution.
"....each Federal agency or department shall provide educational and training materials concerning the United States Constitution to each employee...on September 17 of each year."
In keeping with theses congressional mandates, recent presidents have solicited help from the federal and local government leaders as well as civic and religious leaders to hold events to commemorate the occasion.
We encourage all citizens to use their influence to organize and support programs that honor the Constitution. Resources for holdings such a celebration may be found at nccs.net

El Dorado County Handed $230,000
What's up girl, thanks for the support wile locked up. I passed your info on to new guys coming in. Never told you my story, here it is in short version. I live in Shingle Springs Ca. and got busted growing. Everything was going great till my broker got greedy and went out of state. When he got busted he led them back to me. I usually keep with in the guide lines of my county, however I was getting ready to switch from my in door to greenhouse for summer. I was vegging for my self and a few other growers, since I had the room. So when they came DEA . I got caught with more plants than I should have had. My county is 99 and I had about 200 in veg and 50 in flower. For that they charged me with manufacturing and sales. I'm not sure how you manufacturer weed, I thought it was cultivating ,however it is what it is. I got caught with to much. I got sentenced to two years and four years paper. As you know that's not the worst part of it. I got a devorsed , haven't seen my boys in two years, lost my rights, and all my money. I know I can replace my passions, however it still sucks. That's that in a nutshell. Thank you for your support and keep up the good fight.....
More than $230,000 has been handed out to the El Dorado County criminal justice system. The payments stem from the investigation into an interstate marijuana-trafficking ring that resulted in federal prosecution. The funds were made available through the U.S. Department of Justice equitable sharing program, which is designed to enhance cooperation among federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies.
The case involves the arrest and conviction of two men charged with conspiring to cultivate marijuana and distribute it out-of-state.
Robert Mulready, 50, of Placerville was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.
Duane Petersen, 40, of Shingle Springs received a sentence of 22 months.
The two had to forfeit cash, bank accounts, and a house on 10 acres of land in Placerville.

Daisy is in jail because of cannabis. Write to her today and show her some love and support.
Daisy writes-
*sigh*….1st let me say that I cannot even begin to share the depth of what is in my heart as I think about the support & goodness of those that keep me & my family in their heart. Thank You. During sentencing (on tues. Jan 21) the judge read the names of those that mailed letters directly. wow. Thank You. I am humbled & grateful.
I am to turn myself in to the Butte County Jail by 5pm on Sat. Feb 1. At this point it is rather difficult to know exactly how much time I will be doing in custody. I am expecting the worst & hoping for the best.
Please keep me in your thoughts & hearts ever so much this week as I spend the days & nights readying myself to leave my family. I will be cooking, cleaning, organizing and preparing to be away from my babies for an unknown amount of time. Needless to say this is beyond a daunting endeavour- getting ready to leave my home and loved ones. I cannot believe that I will have to say good-bye to them.
Invictus.
Love. Light. Blessings.
