Our wasteful and heartless Government could care less about the common people. There is absolutely no valid reason why a person should be incarcerated for a plant (herb) that God Himself put on this planet for his children to use and enjoy!?
I like the idea but must agree associating with actual POW’s that served in the military and were captured and more than likely toturred doesn’t serve this cause just. The overall idea of this cause is useful and serves a good service for prisoners that received long sentences because of mandatory sentencing and the greedy persons in government that profit from free labor and contracts with private prisons in addition once one has been convicted as a felony they lose the right to vote and hard to find a quality paying job. If our government legalized weed they would actually lose billions of dollars by not keeping prisoners for free labor and the private prisons they have stock in. It would be great for the hemp industry and save millions of trees.

The Constitution of the United States of America, Ninth Amendment (1791), guarantees that, “The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny, or disparage others retained by the people.”
The Constitution, Tenth Amendment (1791), guarantees that, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
At the time that the Constitution went into effect, in the united states of America, We the People retained the

One thing the National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) has tried, to do, is get MARIHUANA removed from a schedule I drug. An agency policy change should be retroactive. To do that United States v. Cresswell, 515 F. Supp. 1268 (1981) holds that, within the meaning of 5 U.S.C. Section 702, a person adversely affected or aggrieved by agency action, has standing to seek review of the actions of the Administrator of the DEA.
I am an aggrieved person, a flesh-and-blood man. NORML has the experience, to petition, to have Marihuana removed from a schedule I drug. This is one step, for We the People that can be taken by POW420 to free the Cannabis plant and free the people.
01/07/2016, the Case Manager informed me that I was denied clemency. Why? 74-years of age. Wheelchair bound since 09/01/1998, due to deliberate indifference to my medical needs. Non-violent. Actually factually innocent. 27-years, 7-months and 20-days in prison, for the Cannabis plant war crime upon We the People!!!

I haven’t used cannabis in close to 20 years but, my ex-husband was an alcoholic and I’ve NEVER heard of ANYONE smoking cannabis and beating his spouse, screaming and yelling to the point where the police had to be called. Alcohol is a much more dangerous drug and you can walk into any gas station (where you are filling your car that you cannot drive intoxicated) and buy as much beer as you can carry right next to gatoraid, juice, milk,etc for your children! Cannabis has been proven to help certain diseases and it is a plant that grows wild anywhere there is dirt & water! It boggles my mind that our country promotes the consumption of alcohol (NFL football comes to mind) during games in which we watch with our children! Unbelievable that people are being sentenced years in prison along side of rapists, murderers, and violent offenders! Our country sure has its priorities so screwed up! When I smoked cannabis I would get mellow, didn’t even want to drive anywhere, get the munchies, eat too much, get sleepy and go to bed. When I drank alcohol I would be funny, fall down a lot, couldn’t drive, get mad then usually got sick, go to bed and wake up with a headache, hungover, calling in sick to work…not once did I ever have a hangover from cannabis. Legalize it already! Alcohol vs Cannabis, Cannabis wins (HANDSDOWN) every time!
